This will be super quick. I often get emails asking how I balance blogging, making products, teaching, family, and sleep. My typical answer is "heavy on the Starbucks and light on the sleep". But, it seems the real secret is my husband. Something came up with a project at his job this week which unexpectedly has had him leaving the house before the kids wake up and coming home after the kids go to bed.
As it turns out he actually does a lot around here and I am REALLY feeling the impact of his absence. LOL
Not only am I exhausted from taking on both of our daily responsibilities around here and I've lost the 4(ish) hours I usually have to focus exclusively on CFC before he leaves for work each day.
It looks like the project is wrapping up and I'm optimistic that tomorrow will be a typical day. I actually have today's Freebie made, but I need to add the photo to the cover and upload it to my store. So, I'm cheating tonight and giving you a link to a post from my classroom management series from last summer. The freebie that I made for today is directly related to it. You can get a jump start in reading about it and come back tomorrow for the printables.
I promise to get it uploaded in the morning (as long as technology cooperates) and I'll leave it free through the weekend for you.
You may also be interested in reading my post about all the other hand signals I use in my room or watch the video if you missed it the first time.
See you tomorrow...fingers crossed.

Missed you, but so glad to hear that hopefully your routine (and regularly scheduled program at home) will be back on track soon!

ReplyDeleteI understand completely. My boyfriend does so much when he's here...and I don't even realize it. When he's not here, I can't get anything done...and he's been working until 8:30 pm lately - well after my son is in bed...

I am completely in agreement. My husband rocks! Without him around to help with carpools, dishes and laundry I would never be able to handle my blog. I have found that it is my creative outlet and I really need it to feed my soul! I am sure you feel the same way...
