Last year I ran a classroom theme-a-day series and am looking forward to doing so again. I'll be adding to all of last year's themes and adding in some new ones. Below are the theme kits I put together last year. They are all included in the current sale (20% off EVERYTHING IN MY STORE PLUS AN EXTRA 10% when you use the code TAD12)
I'm going to be planning my calendar for the theme-a-day 2012 series and just wanted to check and see if anyone had anything specific they were hoping to see sooner vs later. Leave me a comment and let me know what theme(s) you're considering for next year.
Also, if you have a themed classroom and would like to be featured on Clutter-Free Classroom please send an email to littlestlearners@gmail.com.

I am doing a "fish" theme this year...Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI just started following your blog and LOVE it!! I am a new teacher (well almost), I just got a job teaching 4th grade next year. I was thinking about doing a polka dot theme. I dont want too heavy of theme for 4th graders. I would love to see a kit for that but dont know if that is possible.
ReplyDeleteThanks again for the great blog!!
Brittany
For my first year of teaching went with a candy themed classroom in mostly primary colors. I LOVE it! I plan on keeping it. However, I have to make/create just about everything I use. I would love to see some more candy themed things out there. The plus side to not seeing it everywhere is it allows me to create everything I need in my classroom. I also sent you an email!

I had a Dr. Seuss themed classroom this year but I'm planning to do an Olympics themed classroom next year since it's the year for the summer olympics. I teach 2nd grade. I'd love to see this theme shared!
ReplyDeleteI will be doing an owl and polka dot theme! I would love to see some classroom things for that!
ReplyDeleteI am also doing an owl and polka dot theme, I figured I keep the polka dot theme for a few years and each year add a different animal. Or I might just keep owls every year!
DeleteThe polka dot theme is a winner and really hot right now. I would love to see a "Wizard" or "Magic" theme. I know Thistle Girl has some really cute clipart to go with this!
ReplyDeleteI would like to do a ladybug theme next year:). Any ideas?

ReplyDeleteI love, love, love to travel so I was thinking of doing a travel theme with passports and maps, etc. I'll be teaching 3rd grade next year and can't wait to get some summer time to de-stress and come up with new ideas!
ReplyDeleteLove that idea!
DeleteOur entire school is having a patriotic/election/olympic them of "Elect to Learn". Would love to see a theme using flags, stars and stripes, cute little patriotic girls and boys.
ReplyDeleteI second Angie's suggestion!
DeleteI am moving up to 5th grade and considering doing an Americana theme.
Airplane Theme! Can't find anything on this theme!

ReplyDeleteOur school is doing a superhero theme. Would love to see some great ideas. Love clutter free classroom website.
ReplyDeleteDid you find anything. We are also doing that theme.
DeleteI'd love to see patriotic themes, or themes that might be applicable to higher grades. I teach high school and just started following your blog. My classroom has no windows and is dreadfully gray so I look forward to spicing it up with color.
ReplyDeleteI am doing a dog/cat theme with pawprint accents, but would love more ideas!
ReplyDeleteI did a dog theme last year. It said Mrs. (Insert Name) has all the top dogs. Then I put the kids names on bones. I used paw prints and bones to label everything in the room. All of my reading skills etc I printed with pictures of real dogs I found on the Internet reading. I had a little kennel with a stuffed dog they earned through classroom behavior. One student per day got to be my top dog. (teacher helper) They were responsible for feeding (tearing up paper) the stuffed dog and got to keep the dog on their desk all day. Sometimes the stuffed dog would travel with a journal during vactions. The stuffed dog was also used when a student needed to take a break and move around, they could take the dog for a walk. The students and parents loved this theme all year. Good luck!
DeleteI'm a fourth grade teacher and for the 2012-2013 school year I would love to have a sweet shoppe theme with polka dots. Any suggestions are ideas are greatly appreciated.
ReplyDeleteI'm also hoping to see a "sweet shoppe" or "candylad" theme but more middle school-like (Is that a word?). Our school's Student Council theme will be "Leadership is SWEET!" Any ideas will be WONDERFUL!!!
DeleteMake that "candyLAND", not "LAD" although that might be fun for the boys! =)
DeleteI love having a 'stars' theme. It fits all grades (I teach K-8, and one high school class).
ReplyDeleteA zebra print theme would be amazing :)
ReplyDeleteI teach at a Catholic school and our theme revolves around Noah's A.R.K. (Acts of Random Kindness). Each class is taking an animal and using the acronym within their class (FROG = Fully Rely On God!) Mine is Dog! I need some ideas if anyone has any! bmoore@sacredheartsite.com
ReplyDeleteOh I would love to see a woodland animals theme.
ReplyDeleteI am looking to do an Indiana jones/adventure/exlporer them next year. Will you be creating something like that?I love the safari kids but think I need to stay away from the cute animals for third grade.

I am looking for any ideas for trains.

We are doing groovy theme in our school. I was thinking of doing polka dot or owls or both. I really can't find a lot of things for groovy. Looking for some good ideas:)
ReplyDeleteWe have a whole school train theme and I'm having a hard time coming up with anything.
ReplyDeleteA fifties theme! Last year I waited for the day the fifties theme would be released and then it was skipped. Boohoo for me! I am going to continue my fifties theme with black backgrounds and the primary colors. I am making cornice boards with red vinyl checked tablecloth covers to tie in the "diner" part. I used photos of stars of the fifties in dollar store frames for decorations. I also purchased a Crosley I-juke stereo system for my class. The students LOVED that. For a special treat I would turn on the "light" in the "jukebox". I plan on adding some different touches this year and would love to have your ideas! You are truly one of the "rockstar" teacher bloggers!!!
