Bug Themed Classroom

  • black or yellow fabric
  • black and yellow striped fabric or wrapping paper
  • yellow fabric or paper with stripes made using black electrical tape
  • use white tulle to look like wings

  • break up the yellow and black stripes by adding in black and white polka dots or yellow polka dots throughout your classroom
  • buy plain yellow border and add black strips using a ruler and Sharpie
  • black or yellow chevron
  • black/yellow striped duct tape

  • transform yellow lanterns into beehives

  • Hang tissue poms in black, yellow or a combination of them both

  • create an adorable hive on the wall using paper towel rolls


  • paint clothespins yellow, add stripes and glue on goggly eyes...these can be used on behavior clip charts, dismissal charts, etc
